Scheduling Conflicts

The weather and my schedule just won't line up! I had some great plans all set out today and I was so looking forward to getting my hands dirty. But no, it has to rain on my day off. At this point in the process I'm just waiting for a chance to till. Well, I guess I can take the time to set up my garden plan.

First thing to think about is how I'm going to till (when I finally get the opportunity to). Because I have a very clay like soil, I'm going to want to get some peat moss. Spreading this on the garden and incorporating it with the tiller will help to break up the soil giving the roots a chance to grow. This will also help to add some organic compounds to my soil.
I'm going to also want to add in some compost. My compost still has some time to go before it's ready to be put in my garden. So, I'm just going to have to go pick some up at the store.
Finally, I need to plan out exactly how I'm going to till. I figure I'll start with a criss-cross type pattern.

Then I'll finish off with an east to west pattern. Thus, setting up my rows.

Now, all I need is for the weather to get on my schedule. Not likely to happen, I know.
